Carraw Bed and Breakfast, a Four Star Silver Guest House, situated on the foundations of Hadrians Wall is set in wonderful open countryside offering lovely south facing views of Northumberland National Park and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The accommodation, as featured in the Guardian, consists of four south facing first floor en-suite letting rooms Chesters, Brocolitia, Housesteads and Vindolanda, offering a range of options including two family rooms. All rooms offer en-suite facilities with modern efficient showers (and some with baths), bathrobes, hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities with full hospitality trays, remote control colour televisions (with freeview, DVD Player and i pod docking) and a supply of toiletries just in case things get forgotten.Carraw Bed and Breakfast are also participants in the National Walkers and Cyclist Welcome Scheme offering secure cycle storage and laundrydrying facilities. There is a guest lounge with Satellite TV, DVDvideo player, a selection of DVDs and videos, games, books, maps and guides, or you may prefer to relax and enjoy the garden and make the most of the setting sun.We are fully licensed; offering a range of locally produced bottled beers and lagers, a range of wines, champagne for that special occasion, as well as a selection of spirits.

From the M6 CarlisleAt junction 43 of M6 follow the A69 (signposted to Hexham, Newcastle). After approximately 16 miles turn left onto the B630 (signposted Greenhead).Turn right onto the Military Road - B6318. Continue on the B6318 for approximately 13 miles. Carraw Bed and Breakfast is located on the right hand side (approximately 4 miles after Housesteads Roman Fort).From A1 ( Newcastle Gateshead )At junction of A1 A69 follow the A69 (signposted Hexham). At Styford Roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A69 (signposted Jedburgh, Carlisle) along Corbidge Bypass. At Bridge End Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A69 (signposted Carlisle). Turn right onto the A6079. Continue on A6079 for approximately 3 miles. At crossroads with B6318 (signposted Chollerford), turn left. Cross the River Tyne at Chollerford (Chesters Bridge). At roundabout take the 1st exit onto the Military Road B6318 (signposted Carlisle). Carraw Bed and Breakfast is located on the left hand side after approx 4 miles, just past the Temple of Mithras (Brocolitia), on your left.
